“Transformation,” “toupee,” “”hair extension,” “hair unit” “hair replacement,” “weave.” These expressions are used to describe kinds of hairpieces, designed to cover up a lack of hair or change or improve a hairstyle.
We like to sit down and discuss with you how you would like to look in the future and help you to get the best, both for your appearance and your lifestyle, to make you feel comfortable and confident. We’ll consider whether human hair or modacrylic fibre would be best, for ready to wear or custom made wigs.
In the past only European human hair wigs available but now, since wigs have become widely accepted and the science of wig making has taken a step forward, you have a very wide choice of synthetic wigs, with subtle colourings and mixtures. Alternatively using processed, easy to manage, Asian hair, from blonde to brunette, matched to your own hair colour allows you to have long hair at a more moderate cost than European hair. However European hair is still preferred by some to copy texture and style.
Each hair type and base has its advantages and disadvantages. Ready to wear wigs and hairpieces now come in a very wide range of modacrylic fibres. Some ready to wear wigs are available in processed hair and we make custom made hairpieces in fibre, processed human hair or a mixture of both.
