A&A Studios’ hair loss centre was founded in 1947 by the grandfather of the present Managing Director. The founder’s son George Theurer joined the company in 1950, spent some time teaching his profession and developed a special interest in the creation of wigs for both the professional theatre and television counting many of the well-known stars and theatre companies as clients. We are also the UK distributors of Grimas make-up which includes their very effective camouflage cream.
His eldest son, Mark, the current Managing Director devotes a great deal of his time to the design and styling of custom made wigs and hairpieces for clients and maintains a large customer base both in the UK and abroad.
We are involved in just about everything in the field of hair replacement for both private and NHS clients. In addition, we provide the NHS with half or more of Scotland’s wigs for both alopecia and chemotherapy patients. Being accredited to British Standard ISO 9001, we insist on a very high standard of service With George’s extensive experience led him to be entrusted with the complete revision of the Contract Standards by the NHS authorities in both England and Scotland.
